Complex System
In this project I created a B2B hotel management system, designed and developed specifically for the role of the Shift Manager. The core challenge involved taking a busy brief that is detailing a complex hotel workflows and staff roles and translating it into an effective, streamlined information architecture. The thought process centered on prioritizing the most critical information for the user's immediate operational needs, leading to the decision to feature the Room Map, Tasks, and Staff Attendance as the main elements on the dashboard. The actionable process involved initial wireframing, where multiple iterations were sketched, refined, and stripped of unnecessary content to ensure maximum utility. This was followed by defining the visual design, landing on a clean and intuitive system using a simple color palette and selecting the typeface for its high legibility, which was a key requirement for quick reading, even if the user stepped away from the computer.
